Dear Northside Families,
As we welcome the month of November, I am reminded of how much there is to be grateful for within our school community. This month offers meaningful moments for learning, connection, and reflection, and I am excited to share a few of the things we have ahead.
This week is Idaho Family Reading Week, and we are thrilled to celebrate the joy of reading together. On Wednesday, November 5 at 5:00 PM, we invite you to our Title Family Reading Night, where families can enjoy literacy activities and a light dinner. We hope this evening not only supports a love of reading, but also gives families a chance to connect with one another.
On Friday, November 7 at 12:30 PM, our students will host a Veterans Day Assembly, and we would be honored to have families join us—especially those who have served. It is always a powerful and heartfelt event for our school. 🇺🇸
November also brings Parent–Teacher Conferences, a wonderful time to partner together in supporting our students. Teachers have shared sign-up information, if you have not received a conference day and time please reach out. We look forward to connecting with each of you to celebrate your child’s growth and set goals for the months ahead. The Scholastic Book Fair will be open the week of conferences, be on the lookout for more information! 📚
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to express how thankful we are for our students, families, and staff. School will be closed from November 24–28, and I hope the break provides time for rest, family, and reflection. Thank you for your partnership, your care, and the trust you place in us each day. Northside is a special place because of the community we share, and I am grateful to enter this season with all of you.
Warmly,
Mrs. Watson
To better meet the needs of students, Kindergarten will have a later start for the 2025–2026 School Year, with in-person classes beginning on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025.
The first two days (Sept. 2nd and 3rd) will be dedicated to assessments, giving teachers the ability to better understand your child's individual needs.
